Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
